Exploratory Essay Samples - Writing an Essay is Not As Difficult As You Think
Exploratory Essay Samples - Writing an Essay is Not As Difficult As You ThinkSome sources recommend the use of exploratory essay samples to help students find a topic for their research paper. These are short passages from research papers that examine themes in the assignment.Students who do not have a good background for writing essays will probably want to look at a few examples of theses written by other people. Theses written by other people are a great way to see if you are doing well at the beginning and how well you can write your own thesis statement.Using an essay sample is a very important step in editing student's work. In most cases, it is easier to copy the essays from the sources because they are written from the point of view of the author. When reviewing the student's work, the thesis writer should give praise or critique the student's choices of words, their sentence structure, and the flow of the essay. While finding examples of theses written by other people is a go od starting point, students should also use the samples as a guide. For example, a student may write an essay that includes parts of a thesis statement. The student may consider copying these parts from a sample paper. In this case, the essay should not be reviewed but rather used as a guide to the student's current writing skills. When students try to copy a sample, they should really work hard to change the thesis statement to meet the current needs of the student. As students become more proficient in researching their own information, they will be able to write concisely and improve the thesis statement itself.Students should also realize that using exploratory essay samples is not an exact science. Because they are written from the perspective of the author, they are not guaranteed to fit every student's needs. As students become more advanced in their writing, they may have to make a few adjustments to get the overall thesis statement to be more suited to the purpose of the ass ignment. The good news is that using these examples will give students the opportunity to revise their own essay or rewrite their own draft to meet the requirements of the assignment. This will help them understand the process and make the most of the guidance given to them.

Foreign Policy International Politics And Relations...
Geopolitics is a study of foreign policy to understand international politics and relations through various variables. A geopolitical environment refers to a regionââ¬â¢s political circumstance while considering the nations geology, history, religion, culture, administrative structure, and financial circumstances. It is also applied to a single countryââ¬â¢s political situation given their geographic realities or the environment of the entire continent. The United Kingdom s prospective withdrawal from the European Union is widely known as Brexit. So, because of this article, British would leave the European Union in March -2019. This would mean the European laws wouldnââ¬â¢t apply on UK anymore and that UK will have its own rules and regulation when it comes to trade immigration, etc. This shocked was immediately followed by Scottish people doing major riots for Scottish exit from the UK as they feel they would be entirely under the British which they didnââ¬â¢t really enjoy. There was a huge response from the various countries and their great leaders. Brexit has an effect on the economy in a number of ways such as GBP hitting the all-time low since 1985. This exit proved to come at a cost of worldwide markets along with GBP losing its top position in the AAA FICO. To prevent the UK from slipping into further economical low, the BOE has decreased the loan fees to prevent the above from happening. The entire situation puts doubts in everyoneââ¬â¢s mind what would happen once the UK exits and how it would affect the new exchange globally. This also gives UK an option to either leave the EU completely or stay a part of the EU market for the monetary zone. This also gave Russia to focus more on the Ukraine end and reduce its efforts towards the reducing oil prices. SWOT Analysis on High Proportion of Chinese Residents
Question: Australian suburbs with a high proportion of Chinese residents, where might you expect to find additional Chatime outlets? Answer: Introduction Chatime is a Taiwan based beverage chain offering bubble tea. It has 800 stores across the globe and has 45 stores in Australia. Within a decade, Chatime has experienced significant growth in Australia. It has been found that the social and cultural aspects of the local Chinese population in Australia have contributed in the success of Chatime. Chatime focuses on serving high quality Taiwanese tea using fresh milk. It is trying to capture the Australian mainstream market through positioning Taiwanese tea as healthy and freshly prepared beverage which has distinct aroma and flavor. The capability of Chatime in replicating and providing innovative and reinvented tea beverages have contributed in the success of Chatime. The demand for bubble tea has been increasing in Australia and the health conscious population focuses on beverages which are healthy as well as fresh. In order to address the growing level of competition in the Australian market, Chatime has focused on altering its mark eting strategies. Swot Analysis SWOT analysis is a strategic management tool that helps in assessing the internal factors such as strength and weakness of the organization as well as the external factors such as opportunities and threats (Sadler, 2003). In this section, the SWOT analysis will be undertaken for Chatime in order to develop appropriate strategy for ensuring success in the Australian market. Strengths The major strengths of Chatime are listed below: 1. Chatime uses the natural ingredients of superior quality which do not contains additional preservatives2. Chatime does not serve pre-made tea or tea powders.3. The company uses fresh milk delivered by the Australian farmers. 4. The tea served by Chatime has more flavor and fragrance. 5. It is offering new innovative drinks without affecting the flavor of Taiwanese Tea. Weaknesses 1. Chatime is limited to the natural market niche and it has not explored the market beyong the regions where population of Asian people is higher. 2. The branding strategy of the Chatime has not been effective to attract the target audience as it has failed to communicate the health benefits of fresh pearl tea served at Chatime. Opportunities 1. Australians are found to be health conscious and loves fresh foods and beverages. Chatime has focuses on serving only fresh beverages which will help in attracting the target market. 2. Chatime has focuses on delivering new and innovative beverages on the basis of the local taste and preference which is one of the most important factors of ensuring success in the Australian market. 3. The Australian market for tea is growing due to its flavor, taste and health benefits. Threats4. One of the most important threats of Chatime is the growing rivalry of shops offering tea beverages in Australian market. The growing intensity of the competition is considered to be a major threat for Chatime (Sadler, 2003). 5. Chatime will encounter difficulty in identification of the distinct characteristics of the local market for developing new products which will match with the taste and preference of the local market (Czinkota and Kotabe, 2001). Porters Five Forces Analysis Rivalry among the competitors Rivalry among the competitors refers to the intensity of the competition in the market. It has been observed that the demand for bubble tea is growing in the Australian market. Hence, increasing number of companies is focusing on entering the market (Sheehan, 2011). In the Asian tea market of Australia, the market leader is EasyWay. Additionally, a new brand GongCha has also entered the market. These brands are offering the authentic Asian tea beverage to the Australian market. Hence, it can be found that the rivalry among the competitors is moderately high in the market of Australia. Bargaining power of suppliers The major ingredient i.e. tea is exported from Taiwan and there are plenty suppliers for Chatime as the company is based in the same nation. Chatime focuses on using fresh ingredients and the fresh milk is supplied by the Australian farmers. Chatime significantly supports the farmers in Australia. Hence, it can be stated that the bargaining power of suppliers is low in this case (Winer, 2004). Bargaining power of customers Bargaining power of customers rises when they have many alternatives (David, 2005). In the Australian market, there are potential shops which are offering authentic Asian tea. The customers can get the similar or superior product from other shops such as EasyWay and GongCha. Hence, the customers can easily switch to other shops on the basis of their preference and the product quality along with the marketing strategy of the company. Hence, the customers have high bargaining power (Jeffs, 2008). Threat of new entrants Threat of new entrants is one of the most important forces which have a significant impact on the business. It has been observed that the Australian market has an inclination for the healthy and fresh food and beverages. The demand for bubble tea is growing in the Australian market due to the presence of the Asian immigrants and the health concerns of Australians. Additionally, it is found that the barrier to entry in the industry is low. Consequently, more number of investors will focus on capitalizing the market opportunity. Hence, it can be stated that the threat of new entrants is high which is not desirable for Chatime. Threat of substitutes Coffee is the substitute of tea. In Australia, coffee is the most popular non-alcoholic beverage (Pennington, 2014). The demand for coffee is significantly high. However, tea is healthier than coffee and the health consciousness among the Australian population is rising. It has been observed that threat of substitute is moderate (David, 2005). Location for new Outlet of Chatime The flagship store of Chatime was situated in Hurstville. It was found that more than 47.8% residents were Chinese. Chatime has more than thirty stores in the metropolitan area of Sydney. The major focus of Chatime is to penetrate the market by adoption of effective strategy. In order to identify the locations of additional Chatime outlets some major factors need to be considered. First of all, the population characteristics need to be analyzed (Kim and Park, 2013). The location of the new outlet must be surrounded by the population of East and South East Asian background, domestic as well as international students and young Asian Australian (Lee and Liao, 2009). Chatime has been competing for the market share. The situational factors also needed to be considered before choosing a location for opening an outlet of Chatime. The location must have a good exposure and easy access. The combination of these two factors is essential for the success of new outlet. In different part s of Asi a, tea is one of the most popular leisure beverages (Paganini-Hill, Kawas and Corrada, 2007). It has been observed that the global demand for tea is rising. Chatime has majorly targeted the suburbs market due to the high concentration of the Chinese residents. It basically targets the consumers who are habitual decision makers and seeks convenience (Turhan, Akaln and Zehir, 2013). Hence, shopping centers, near to the movie theatres, food courts, train stations etc will be idea locations for Chatime to open a new outlet (Zhuang et al., 2006). The major reason is these places are convenient for the target market. Conclusion This paper has provided an insight to the current operations of Chatime in Australia. The SWOT analysis has demonstrated that Chatime has significant strengths which can be capitalized in order to ensure success of the organization. In order to overcome the weakness, the branding strategy of Chatime needs to be improved so that it can efficiently communicate with the target market regarding the health benefits of Taiwanese tea and its flavor. The demand for bubble tea is enhancing across Australia. The bargaining power of suppliers has estimated to be low. The intensity of competition is growing and the bargaining power of customer as well as threat of new entrants is high. References Czinkota, M. and Kotabe, M. (2001). Marketing management. 10 Steps for Finding Your Family Tree Online
10 Steps for Finding Your Family Tree Online From cemetery transcriptions to census records, millions of genealogy resources have been posted online in recent years, making the Internet a popular first stop in researching family roots. And with good reason. No matter what you want to learn about your family tree, there is a pretty good chance you can dig up at least some of it on the Internet. Its not quite as simple as finding a database that contains all of the information on your ancestors and downloading it, however. Ancestor hunting is actually much more exciting than that! The trick is learning how to use the myriad of tools and databases that the Internet provides to find facts and dates on your ancestors, and then going beyond that to fill in the stories of the lives they lived. While each family search is different, I often find myself following the same basic steps when beginning to research a new family tree online. As I search, I also keep a research log noting the places Ive searched, the information I find (or didnt find), and a source citation for each piece of information that I find. The search is fun, but less so the second time if youà forget where youveà lookedà and end up having to doà it all over again! Begin with Obituaries Since family tree searches generally work their way back in time from the present, searching out information on recently deceased relatives is a good place to start your family tree quest. Obituaries can be a gold mine for information on family units, including siblings, parents, spouses, and even cousins, as well as the date of birth and death and place of burial. Obituary notices may also help lead you to living relatives who can provide further information on your family tree. There are several large obituary search engines online which can make the search a bit easier, but if you know the town where your relatives lived you will often have better luck searching the obituary archive (when available online) of the local paper. If you arent sure of the name of the local paper for that community, a search for newspaper and the city, town or county name in your favorite search engine will often get you there. Be sure to search out obituaries for siblings and cousins as well as your di rect ancestors. Dig Into Death Indexes Since death records are usually the most recent record created for a deceased individual, they are often the easiest place to begin your search. Death records are also less restricted than most records by privacy laws. While monetary restrictions and privacy concerns mean that the majority of death records are not yet available online, many online death indexes are available through both official and volunteer sources. Try one of these major databases and indexes ofà online death records, or do a Google search for death records plus the name of the county or state in which your ancestors lived. If youre researching American ancestors, the Social Security Death Index (SSDI) contains details of more than 77 million deaths reported to the SSA since about 1962. You can search the SSDI for free throughà several online sources. Details listed in the SSDI generally include the name, date of birth and death, zip code of last residence, and social security number for each listed individu al. Further information can be obtained by requesting a copy of the individualsà Social Security Application. Check Out the Cemetery Continuing the search for death records, online cemetery transcriptions are another huge resource for information on your ancestors. Volunteers from around the world have traipsed through thousands of cemeteries, posting names, dates, and even photos. Some larger public cemeteries provide their own online index to burials. Here are a number of freeà cemetery search databasesà online which compile links to online cemetery transcriptions. RootsWebs country, state, and county sites are another great source for links to online cemetery transcriptions, or you can try a search for your familys surname plus cemetery plus location in your favorite Internet search engine. Locate Clues in the Census Once youve used your personal knowledge and online death records to trace your family tree back to people who lived around the beginning of the twentieth century, census records can provide a treasure trove of information on the family. Census records in the United States, Great Britain, Canada, and many other countries are available online some for free and some through subscription access. In the United States, for example, you can often find living and recently deceased family members listed with their parents in the 1940 federal census, the most recent census year open to the public. From there, you can trace the family back through previous censuses, often adding a generation or more to the family tree. Census takers werent very good at spelling and families arent always listed where you expect them, so you may want to try some of these search tips for census success. Go On Location By this point, youve probably managed to narrow down the search to a particular town or county. Nows the time to head to the source for more detailed information. My first stop is usually the county specific Web sites at USGenWeb, or their counterparts at WorldGenWeb - depending upon your country of interest. There you may find newspaper abstracts, published county histories, biographies, family trees, and other transcribed records, as well as surname queries and other information posted by fellow researchers. You may have already come across some of these sites in your search for cemetery records, but now that youve learned more about your ancestors, you can dig even deeper. Visit the Library In the spirit of location, my next step in the family hunt is to visit the Web sites for local libraries and historical and genealogical societies in the area in which my ancestor lived. Often you can find links to these organizations through the locality-specific genealogical sites mentioned in step 5. Once there, look for a link labeled genealogy or à family history to learn about the available resources for genealogical research in the area. You may find online indexes, abstracts, or other published genealogical records. Most libraries will also offerà online searchingà of their library catalog. While most local andà family history booksà arent available for online reading, many may be borrowed through interlibrary loan. Search Message Boards Many great nuggets of family history information are exchanged and shared via message boards, groups, and mailing lists. Searching the archives of the lists and groups which pertain to your surnames and areas of interest may yield obituaries, family histories, and other pieces of the genealogy puzzle. Not all of these archived messages can be found via traditional search engines, however, necessitating manual searching of any lists of interest.à RootsWebs genealogy mailing listsà and message boardsà include searchable archives, as do most genealogy-related organizations usingà Yahoo Groupsà orà Google Groups. Some may require you to join (free) before searching the archived messages Ferret Out Family Trees Hopefully, by this point, youve found enough names, dates, and other facts to help you distinguish your ancestors from others of the same name making it a good time to turn to the family research already done by others. Thousands of family tree have been published online, the majority of them included in one or more of these Top 10 Pedigree Databases. Be warned, however.à Many online family treesà are basically works in progress and may or may not be correct. Be sure toà verify the validity of a family treeà before incorporating it into your own family tree, andà cite the source of the informationà in case you find conflicting data as your research progresses. Search for Specialized Resources Based on what youve learned about your ancestors, now you can search out moreà specialized genealogical information. Databases, histories, and other genealogical records may be found online which focus on military service, occupations, fraternal organizations, or school or church membership. Stop by the Subscription Sites By this point youve exhausted many of the free online genealogy resources. If youre still having trouble finding information on your family, it may be time to tackle the pay-for-use genealogy databases. Through these sites you can access a wide variety of indexed databases and original images, ranging from theà digitized WWI Draft Registration recordsà atà Ancestry.comà to the birth, marriage, and death records available online fromà Scotlands People. Some sites operate on a pay-per-download basis, charging only for the documents you actually view, while others require a subscription for unlimited access. Check for a free trial or free search feature before plunking down your money!

Student views on individual and group work Essay
Student views on individual and group work - Essay Example The study is based on international educational experiences of learners studying abroad; their opinions on the individual work and group work especially in the cultural diverse learning institutions also discussed. A comparison approach is used to define the different impacts of individual or group work in different settings internationally. Students from different backgrounds from the UK and abroad give their opinions on the importance of group and individual work. The students interviewed come from various countries namely: Poland, Kenya, Australia, China, and France. Previous research Students noted frustration with joy riders in group work especially in open-ended evaluation piece (Shumow, 2001, p. 35). Despite this, small group work in problem based learning was rated the best in promoting learning. The negative attitude towards group work among students developed from those learners who did not participate sufficiently to their collaborative groups (Skinner, 2010.). According t o this study, another issue raised involved students who did not seem attuned to the educational value of listening to what other group members had to contribute during sharing and discussion. The students were or pretended to be unaware that group members or their findings could be used as resources. This research also revealed that students were anxious about the sit-in classroom examinations; it appeared as if they needed more direct guidance. The recommendations given in this study included integrating the problem based learning throughout the semester to better the results of the students. This could be achieved through letting students solve problems as homework and individual assignments. Another way to achieve this is through using four problems as a unifying platform for each quarter of the course. Class discussions, tutor presentations and media shown in class could then be attached in the problem. A third possible way is to alternate group work with individual work during the course. And a last way is to let each group work on a different problem; the groups then present their answers in class while the class assesses the groupââ¬â¢s work (Shumow, 2001, p. 36). The problem of joy riders could be solved through collecting notes and checking them in each class session to ensure that all students are participating in group work(Joughin, 2009).Nevertheless, this problem is bothersome and really challenging to handle since more resources are used in supervision. Moreover, joy riding suggests that the students could be unreliable workers in the potential market. According to Townsend, Long, & Trainor, 2011, group supervision and peer learning in social work field can be beneficial in other contexts such as professional, social, cultural, economic and political frameworks locally and internationally. Townsend, Long, & Trainor, 2011 studied teaching, learning and supervisory relationships that support group work and group assessment especially in field w ork. They had a lot of relevance in the Australian contexts. Group learning is vulnerable to group dynamics whereby different personalities and individual needs may affect the learning experience (Arfield, 2013). Furthermore, more dominant individuals in the group may inhibit on the ability of passive individuals to meet their own personal goals. Group work in learning requires the group members to be accountable and to minimise the group size (Light, Cox, & Calkins, 2009).

The Talented Tenth, by William Edward Burghardt [W.E.B.] DuBois, 1903 Essay
The Talented Tenth, by William Edward Burghardt [W.E.B.] DuBois, 1903 - Essay Example Furthermore, the viewpoint would most likely be somewhat anti-American ââ¬â this is because he renounced his American citizenship towards the end of his life, and he also was decidedly anti-capitalist, becoming a member of the American Communist party while he still lived in America. All of this would point at a man who was not comfortable in his birth country, not comfortable with the economic circumstances of the country, not comfortable with the economic basis of the country's financial system, and not comfortable with whites, in general. Yet, he was also a person who was passionate about helping blacks become the best that they can be and passionate about assuring that blacks were economically, politically, and civilly on par with the whites in America.1 Discussion The document titled ââ¬Å"The Talented Tenth,â⬠which is the topic of this essay, is a primary source. While the book that features this particular writing, titled W.E.B. Du Bois Writings (1986), is a seconda ry source because the book itself was compiled by somebody other than W.E.B. DuBois. The article itself is primary because it was written by W.E.B. DuBois himself. If somebody had written about the ideas of W.E.B. DuBois, then this would be a secondary source. The actual writing is primary. The gist of the article is that the black race must be saved by ten percent of the black population, that is, the most talented among the population, and they must be developed so that they could become the best and lead the worst away from ââ¬Å"contamination and death.â⬠2 The problems and solutions of the article are complex.
